UNICEF IN ZAMBIA

UNICEF plays a crucial role in improving the lives of children and women by focusing on various development efforts. UNICEF supports the government of Zambia in improving maternal and child health services. They work to reduce the rates of preventable diseases like malaria and HIV, the leading causes of child mortality in Zambia. UNICEF is heavily involved in improving access to quality education for all children and works to protect children from violence and abuse.

KEY CLUB AND UNICEF

Key Club International is proud to collaborate with UNICEF USA on the Start Strong: Zambia initiative. Worldwide members are raising funds to give young children in Zambia, a southeastern African country, the best start in life.

Key Club is making a meaningful impact by supporting UNICEF's efforts to:

Construct innovative community centers, known as Insakas, which provide spaces for children to learn and play, a community kitchen, playground, water and sanitation facilities, and a vegetable garden.

Train local volunteers, healthcare workers, and educators to guide parents in creating nurturing and stimulating environments for young children.

Distribute developmentally appropriate toys, including blocks, stringing beads, and books, to promote early learning and strengthen parents' and children's bond.
