I am honored to serve as your 2009-2010 District Governor. I hope that, through resources such as this website, more members and others will be educated about our fabulous organization.
I have a few goals and ideas that I would like to share with you, such as my Governor's Project. I am excited to announce that the Governor's Project for the 2009-2010 KIWIN'S year will be... drum roll please ...Project BUILD: Building Understanding In Learning Disabilities. By focusing on not only those with learning disabilities, but also their family and loved ones that are affected by it as well, we can raise awareness and raise funds to combat the injustices and misconceptions about learning disabilities.
By partnering with the CNH Districts of Key Club, Circle K, and Kiwanis, our very own KIWIN'S district can renew our commitment to service and spirit. I want every club to strengthen bonds with the entire Kiwanis Family, especially with the sponsoring Kiwanis club. It can produce results that far exceed the effort initially put in. Contact your sponsoring Kiwanis club today to see if you can attend a meeting or work on a project together. If you already have a relationship with your sponsoring Kiwanis club, see how you can strengthen relations with another branch of the Kiwanis family.
The Cal-Nev-Ha KIWIN'S District Board met at a recent May Board Meeting to discuss and plan out our year. We are off to a great start, and I assure you that we will be giving our all and doing our best for KIWIN'S.
